CET 246 Structural Systems of Building Construct 3 Credits. 2 Lecture Hours. 2 Lab Hours.
A course on fundamental structural elements of a building, including components made of steel, wood, and concrete and the soil bearing of foundations. Topics include: loads and load paths, tributary areas, reactions of beams, shear and bending stresses of simple beams and columns, bolted and welded connections, and wood fasteners.
Prerequisites: CET 141 and MAT 125
